The New Zealand Society of Plant Biologists (NZSPB) promotes the teaching and research of plant biology in New Zealand, and encourages the exchange of information among those with an interest in Plant Biology. Our membership is comprised primarily of professional scientists, academics and research students with interests in Plant Biology.

NZSPB's next annual conference

This year’s annual conference will be a joint meeting with the NZ Ecological Society, in Rotorua, from August 28 to September 1. Symposia topics include Plant Physiological Ecology, Forest Ecology, Plant Biology plus many more. Tim Brodribb (plant hydraulic evolution, University of Tasmania) has confirmed as one of a number of plenary speakers, and the Ecological Society is planning a great range of field trips to sites around Rotorua. Abstract submission closes June 6, early bird registration closes later in June. Conference Website
