Annual Meeting ‘Plant Science Central’ 4-6 July, 2017

I am happy to announce our Annual Meeting for 2017, which is ‘Plant Science Central’, a joint meeting between NZSPB, NZIAHS and IAPB(NZ), to be held at Massey University on 4-6 July, 2017 with the theme “Plants in a Changing Environment” . The website is now live http://www.agscience.org.nz/index.html and a promotional poster is attached, please print this off and circulate around your departments. We are planning to have some great speakers, as well as giving opportunities for our students to speak and to present their work as posters. Please note these dates in your diaries.

Also, please consider nominations for our two major awards, The Roger Slack Award in Plant Biology and The Michael McManus Award for Best Student Paper.

The Roger Slack Award is open this year to all NZSPB members and is awarded on the merit of original research in one area, the findings of which have been published, or accepted for publication, in the five years preceding the year of the Award.

The Michael McManus Award is made on the merit of original research from a student research project, the findings of which have been published, or accepted for publication, in a peer-reviewed journal in the four years since the submission of the candidate’s thesis.

Please see the awards pages (Roger Slack and Michael McManus) for more details on how to make a nomination for either of these awards. Nominations for both are now open.
